As we come to the end of another year, it’s time to look back over the last twelve months here at First4Blinds. Like all businesses large and small, we have faced challenges to ensure not only the safety of our staff and customers, but also keeping our doors open and First4Blinds thriving.
This year saw us take on two new members of the team – Garry or “Mabbs” as our customers will know him and John. Both have become good assets to the team, and we look forward to another busy year ahead of having them both out on the road installing your blinds and shutters.
Natalie and Barry have stepped up to take the helm of day-to-day operations after Beverley and Allen taking an early retirement. With Natalie and Barry having so many years of knowledge and experience of both the business and the industry, First4Blinds is in safe hands moving forward. Beverley and Allen still are very much present and still own First4Blinds but are now able to kick back and enjoy the rewards of retirement after working the last 21 years.
Despite the lockdowns and seemingly ever-changing restrictions, we think we managed overall to provide the best service we could to our customers. Kate has been in the showroom helping customers to choose beautiful new curtain fabrics and ensuring plenty of fabric samples made their way to customers to minimise unnecessary travelling.
Belinda has also spent the year working her magic alongside our curtain makers to leave our Northamptonshire curtain customers with the best looking and best dressed windows around. From elegant floor to ceiling curtains, fabulously classical swags and tails, to an Art Deco inspired masterpiece – It’s been a real showstopper of year.
For many of us, the New Year does hold uncertainty as to how much of the seemingly long-gone momentum of pre-covid living will come back over the next twelve months. But strangely it’s almost just becoming the new normal way of living and operating business. It’s been a tragedy for a lot of independent retailers across not just our county but the country, and we are incredibly thankful for all the support you have given us as loyal customers.
Finally, we as the team here at First4Blinds would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
